V&S’s filter base and manifolds are preferred over the old sock type filters used industry wide because of its ability to allow 40 gallons of flow per minute per filter while filtering from 20 to 7 microns.  Coupled with Baldwin’s series of filters the manifolds not only increase productivity for those who use them but also saves time and money by reducing wear and tear on the equipment, thereby reducing downtime for repairs.  This method is more environmentally
friendly than the sock-type or depth-type filters. 

The manifolds and filter base also allow the user to stock one size of filter for all engines and compressors. There are three varieties of filter manifolds available for industry use.  A single unit is called a Filter Base while a unit handling 2 or 4 filters is called a Manifold.

Our aluminum cast Manifolds and Filter Bases are all rated at 300PSI maximum working pressure with a temperature rating of -150 F, and a melting point of 1000 F.
